A relaxing retreat in Rotorua

The Capri On Fenton Motel exceeded my expectations with its incredibly welcoming staff and a fantastic geothermal spa that made relaxing after a day of exploration a memorable treat.

The only downside was the room's entry through a sliding glass door, which felt a bit less secure than expected at night.

We were pleasantly surprised when Morgen upgraded us to a larger room, giving us plenty of space to relax after a long drive. The spa bath was such a treat, and we also enjoyed some time at the community garden area. The wi-fi was a bit spotty at times, but it didn’t ruin our great experience here! 😊

Morgen made us feel welcome from the start. A warm greeting upon arrival set the tone. The room met our needs perfectly. it was exceptionally clean, spacious, and offered the biggest spa bath I’ve seen! Fresh milk awaited us, a thoughtful touch. The in-suite geothermal jacuzzi tub was fantastic after a day of exploring. A bit of a downside, the entry to the room was via a sliding glass door that felt a little sketchy. Our only concern was the late-night hotel sign being turned off — it made locating the driveway tricky after dark. Despite this, the overall experience was positive, and we appreciated the local community efforts of the owners. Looking forward to returning!

We had a fantastic stay here! Our unit was spacious and totally quiet, perfect for unwinding after a busy day exploring the Night Markets and Kuirau Park with my son. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and our kids enjoyed the hot tub after a long day. The Sky TV with all the channels was a bonus!

My wife says that the furniture looked dated.
